CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Michigan woman is behind bars in Hamilton County after police say she hit an officer in the face while he was trying to arrest her for drunk driving.

Angela Lee, 48, of Warren, Mich. was observed swerving on Interstate 75 just after midnight on Saturday morning.

Police say she struck a stopped police cruiser from behind, then turned around and began driving northbound on the southbound side of the interstate. While traveling the wrong way, she struck two other vehicles and eventually crashed into a fence.

When an officer went to arrest her, she struck him in the face with her arm.

She was taken to the hospital, and was released earlier Wednesday and taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Lee is facing several charges, including assault, resisting arrest, OVI and failure to stop.
