HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - The Butler County Sheriff's Office and Butler County Board of Elections have completed an investigation into an election glitch that occurred earlier this year.
During the primary election in May, the Board of Elections was unable to deliver tabulated results to their website due to a large volume of IP addresses interrupting the system.
An investigation was launched to determine if the act was the result of a hacker or a computer glitch.
After a thorough investigation, the Butler County Sheriff's Office found there was no correlation between any of the IP addresses in question. Nothing of a criminal nature was discovered.
At no point were the results of the election tabulation compromised or in danger of manipulation.
