MIDDLETOWN (FOX19) - A bricklaying ceremony took place for the construction of the Suncoke Plant in Middletown, Ohio.
Both U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown and Governor Ted Strickland were in attendance. The plant will be completed in September of 2011 and will create about 550 jobs.
The energy plant makes high quality coke for major steel manufacturers. Coke is a fuel from residue of coal that is left after it is distilled.
