FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are looking for two suspects who killed a man during a late night home invasion.
The two gunmen broke into a townhome in the 3000 block of Bentbranch Lane shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
Police say the homeowner, Joe Patterson II, 34, fought with at least one of the suspects, when he was shot several times and killed.
The victim's wife and three children saw the whole thing, but were not hurt.
The two suspects fled the scene on foot and are still on the run. Both are described as wearing dark clothing. One was carrying a handgun and the other was carrying what could be a rifle. One is described as being a shorter, slender black male, and the other is a larger black male, abound 6-feet tall and 230 pounds.
Police say they believe the incident location was targeted by the suspects and not a random act.
