AURORA, IN (FOX19) - A former Aurora officer has been sentenced for solicitation.

Dennis Lewis, 53, of Dillsboro, will spend the next seven years behind bars.

Lewis was charged with five counts of child solicitation in April after police said he solicited teenage girls for sex online.

He took a plea deal in July and had four of the charges dropped in exchange for pleading guilty to the other.

Lewis is the former Assistant Police Chief in Aurora. He resigned following the allegations.
