Hamilton Park District Events in September

CINCINNATI (FOX19 - Hamilton County Park District is planning many Nature Programs that are open to the public from September 14 through September 19.

The events include:

  • OUTDOOR ARCHERY PRACTICE will be held Tuesday, September 14 at 6 pm at Winton Woods
  • BUGS FOR LITTLE NATURALISTS will be held Wednesday, September 15 at 9:30 am & 11 am at Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve
  • LITTLE TYKE HIKE will be held Wednesday, September 15 at 11 am at Winton Woods
  • WALK CLUB BROWN BAG LUNCHEON will be held Wednesday, September 15 at 11 am at Sharon Woods
  • STORYTELLING GUILD will be held Thursday, September 16 at 7:30 pm Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve
  • HOP, FLAP & SLITHER JAMBOREE will be held Friday, September 17 at 10 am at Woodland Mound
  • BIRD BANDING STATION will be held Saturday, September 18 at 8 am - 11 am at Sharon Woods
  • SWALLOWS & SWALLOWTAILS HIKE will be held Saturday, September 18 at 10 am at Winton Woods
  • A LONG WALK THROUGH HISTORYwill be held Saturday, September 18 at 11:30 am, 1 pm & 2 pm at Shawnee Lookout
  • NATURE JOURNALING AND DRAWING will be held Saturday, September 18 at 2 pm at Sharon Woods
  • WILD HARES! will be held Saturday, September 18 at 2 pm at Woodland Mound
  • HIKE MWF WEEKEND will be held Saturday & Sunday, September 18 & 19 at 12 pm - 3 pm at Miami Whitewater Forest
  • WEEKEND IN 1800s will be held both Saturday, September 18 at 2 pm - 6 pm and Sunday, September 19 at 2 pm - 5 pm at Shawnee Lookout
  • LEAF HIKE will be held Sunday, September 19 at 2 pm at Sharon Woods
  • MYSTERY ANIMALS HIKE will be held Sunday, September 19 at 2 pm at Winton Woods

Almost all of the events are free of charge except for Bug For Little Naturalists at Farbach-Werner Nature and Hop, Flap and Slither Jamboree at Woodland which both cost $4.00 and Outdoor Archery Practice at Winton Woods which costs $15. A valid Hamilton County Park District Motor Vehicle Permit ($5.00 annual; $2.00 daily) is required to enter the parks.
