Winton Woods (1-1) survived a fourth quarter touchdown barrage by Withrow (0-2) to hold onto a 49-35 victory. The Tigers scored four times in the final eight minutes to cut into a 49-7 deficit but it would be too little too late.
Aaron Kemper led the way for the Warriors carrying the ball 21 times for a career high 226 yards and five touchdowns rushing. Quarterback Gary Underwood did not complete a pass but ran for 143 yards and two scores. The duo would accrue 369 of the teams 421 yards rushing and all seven trips to the end zone.
Withrow quarterback Blake Moore threw for four scores and ran for another. He would end up with 304 yards passing. Running back Da'Shawn Farley had another solid outing with 156 yards on the ground on just 16 carries. He had 296 All-Purpose yards on the night.
Winton Woods heads home to take on Fairfield (1-1) in the FOX 19/TriStateFootball.com Tailgate Tour Game of the Week. Withrow has the unenviable task of heading across the river to take on Northern Kentucky's top team the Highlands Bluebirds (3-0).
