CINCINNATI (FOX19) – Police, fire and the US Coast Guard know how dramatic the influx of a half million people downtown and along the riverfront can be during the CarMax Riverfest.

This Sunday however was thankfully tame.

"No problems basically, the band-aids and the headaches that's about it, not many problems that is about it" says George Hornback, Cincinnati Fire Department.

Event planners at WEBN say for them it was a smooth event too.

"We've been planning this for over a year with all of our meeting and everything has come together and it's been well worth the effort" says Jennifer McElroy, WEBN.

During the CarMax Riverfest we found dozens of law enforcement agencies watching over the crowd and working hard to make sure everything went well.

So now you asking yourself what about the traffic, well Cincinnati Police say downtown streets were clear in about 45 minutes.

So all in all a very successful labor day celebration.
