CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A former Cincinnati Police Officer has been sentenced on charges of abduction and intimidation.

Julian Steele, 48, will spend five years behind bars and serve five years on probation. He is also banned from being a police officer for life.

Steele was found guilty last month of two counts of abduction with a fire arm specification and two counts of intimidation with a firearm specification for falsely accusing and imprisoning a juvenile in the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center in the course of a robbery investigation.

He was also charged threats and sexual misconduct against the juvenile's mother as she attempted to secure her child's release, but he was acquitted of those charges.
