BAE Systems to cut 300 jobs in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - B.A.E. Systems announced Wednesday that it will reduce its' workforce at the platform survivability business in West Chester.

According to B.A.E. Systems, almost 300 positions will be cut by the end of the year.

The reductions are due in part to the loss of some key contracts, including the U.S. Army's Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) contract, but leaner defense budgets and a challenging global economy are also contributing factors.
