Passerby rescues woman from fiery crash

NEW MIAMI, OH (FOX19) - Three people were taken to the hospital after a fiery three-car crash in Butler County that could have much worse if not for a Good Samaritan.

The accident happened just before 7 a.m. on US 127 about two miles north of Hamilton.

Investigators say an SUV traveling northbound on US 127 went left of center and struck a car, causing that car to roll and be hit head-on by another car. The impact caused the third car to catch fire. A passerby was able to pull the female driver from the car before it went up in flames.

The Third Street Bridge was shut down for several hours while crew cleaned up the accident. It is now reopen.

Two Care Flight helicopters responded to the scene and took two victims to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. The third victim was taken to a Hamilton hospital via ground transport. The victims' names and conditions have not been released.
