Tri state daycare threatened with attack

FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, BUTLER CO., OH (FOX19) - Fairfield Township police say they are investigating and taking very seriously a threat to perform a "9/11 style" attack against a day care center.

Here is a release just put out by the police.

(FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP)  The Fairfield Township Police Department is investigating a suspicious letter that was received at the Kinder Care Learning Center, located at 7939 Morris Road, in Fairfield Township.

Police were contacted by Kinder Care Learning Center representatives on Thursday evening, September 9, 2010, and the letter referred to a disgruntlement towards Kinder Care Learning Center about a recent article in the newspaper.  While did not contain a specific threat, it did reference that the person writing the letter felt that everyone at Kinder Care should die in a 9/11 style attack.

A police report has been filed as a terroristic threat and the incident is being taken very seriously.  Kinder Care authorities called a conference with parents last evening to announce the situation and that matter is being looked into.  Kinder Care has hired a security guard and they are taking all necessary precautions while remaining open for business.

This case is currently under investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fairfield Township Police Department at (513) 887-4406, or via dispatch at (513) 785-1300.
