FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -- The DEA and the City of Florence will be helping the community dispose of prescription drugs properly later this month.
On September 25. Florence will participate in the first ever National Prescription Drug take-Back Day.
Between 10:00am and 2:00pm residents will be able to turn in their unused, unneeded, expired prescription medications.
The event will take place at the Florence Government Center, located at 8100 Ewing Boulevard.
Tablets, capsules and all other solid dosage forms will be accepted. Medications that will not be accepted include intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes.
