The Badin Rams bounced back after a heart-breaking loss last week to Taft by defeating Ross on the road, 31-13.
Quarterback Jeff Smith, who is filling in for the injured Patrick Coyne, had a big night as he threw for 168 yards and two scores and added another touchdown on the ground to lead the Rams' attack. He got the scoring started for Badin (2-1) on an 11-yard TD run and added a 48-yard touchdown pass to Alex Rieman to give the team a 12-0 lead after one quarter of play.
Ross (2-1) answered shortly thereafter as Brendan McGuire pulled in the first of two touchdown catches (19, 22) as things would remain interesting at 12-7 at the intermission. McGuire finished with five receptions for 89 yards in the loss.
The second half would belong to Badin though as they would put 19 unanswered points on the board to put the game away, including a huge 25-yard interception return for a touchdown by Luke Wurzelbacher.
Next week Badin welcomes Carroll and Ross travels to West Carrollton as both teams look to pick up their third win of the season.
