CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency (CAA) is providing assistance with rent and water bill payments and providing food vouchers to eligible low-income individuals and families.
Residents should apply by the end of the month and MUST make an appointment.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday by calling 513-569-1840 x 1031.
The Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency is located at 1740 Langdon Farm Road in Cincinnati.
Eligible individuals must live in Hamilton County and earn a household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines ($44,100/year for a family of four).
The following documentation is required when applying:
- photo identification
- proof of income for the entire household for the past 90 days
- Social Security Cards for all household members
Individuals applying for rent assistance must also bring a court-ordered or three-day eviction notice. A disconnection notice is required when applying for water bill assistance.
CAA received funding from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to help Hamilton County's low-income families obtain basic necessities, such as food, housing, and water. After Sept. 30, funds will be limited, so families should apply as soon as possible.
