RISING SUN, Ind. (FOX19) - An Ohio County teenager who pleaded guilty to murder broke down while watching video of himself telling police how he killed his 10-year-old brother.
The sentencing hearing for Andrew Conley has finished its second day of testimony Thursday in Ohio Circuit Court in Rising Sun.
During the tape, Andrew confessed to killing his brother, Conner Conley, and demonstrated to police on a teddy bear how he strangled and suffocated him.
At the end of the confession, Conley told police, "All of the sudden, it hit me. I knew I was going to be what I thought I was always going to be - a monster."
Court had to be delayed for a while Thursday morning after Andrew cried and told Judge James Humphrey he couldn't watch the video. The judge told Andrew he had to, and after about an hour, the hearing resumed.
Prosecutors are seeking a sentence of life in prison for the 18-year-old Conley. He pleaded guilty Monday to murder for the November attack on Conner Conley. The sentencing hearing is expected to take three to four days.
