CLEVELAND (AP) - The son of a former county official facing nearly 22 years in prison for bribery has pleaded guilty in Cleveland in a public corruption investigation.
Thirty-one-year-old Vince Russo of Willoughby Hills pleaded guilty Friday in federal court to bribery and conspiracy. He faces an 18-month sentence under a plea deal tied to one accepted Thursday by his father, former Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) County Auditor Frank Russo.
Frank Russo resigned last week. He pleaded guilty to 21 counts in a deal that specifies that Vince Russo will not face additional charges.
The younger Russo admitted conspiring to trade television sets for school consulting contracts. Others charged in the investigation include a county commissioner, a former Lakewood mayor and county employees and contractors.
