Seasonal flu vaccines in Warren County

LEBANON (FOX19) - The Warren County Combined Health District will be offering seasonal flu vaccinations Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Lebanon Raceway/Warren County Fair Grounds at 665 North Broadway in Lebanon.

The Center for Disease Control recommends that individuals 6 months and older should receive the seasonal flu vaccine. The flu shot will cost $15.

The flu virus is usually passed from person to person through coughing and sneezing but can also be transmitted through objects such as pens and doorknobs.

The Warren County Combined Health District says that an annual flu vaccine is the best way to protect from getting the seasonal flu and gives you a less chance if you get it to transmit it to others.

Remember also to:

  • Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Try to avoid close contact with sick people
  • If you are sick with the flu, stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or other necessities.
