World's top eater to compete in Oktoberfest eating contest

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Joey Chestnut, the worlds top ranked competitive eater, will compete in the Pepto World Bratwurst Eating Championship at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati on Saturday at 3 p.m.

The winner will be placed in the record books as a world champion and will take home $2,500 in cash.

Chestnut has broken many eating records including asparagus, pizza and he won his 4th consecutive hot dog eating title on July 4th. He looks to at brats to his resume of world records.

Hoping to upset Chestnut are Tim Brown of Chicago, ranked 9th eater in the world, who holds the record for most potato skins eaten, and Juliet Lee ranked 10th eater in the world, who once consumed 23 dozen clams in 6 minutes.

The competition will take place on the Time Warner Fest Stage between Race Street and Broadway Street.
