One person injured in I-275 crash

FORT WRIGHT, KY  (FOX19) - The Fort Wright Police are investigating a motorcycle accident that sent one person to the hospital  Saturday afternoon.

At noon, police were called to eastbound 275 just east of  Kentucky Route 17 for a report of a motorcycle accident. officials say that 33-year-old Clifford Jeffery lost control of his motorcycle in the center lane causing him to drift into the high speed lane striking a pick-up truck. His motorcycle then slid across the center lane and struck a semi traveling in the slower lane.

Jeffery was transported to University Hospital by Omni Flight. His condition is unknown.

The eastbound side of the highway was closed about two hours while police investigated.  The westbound lanes closed for a few minutes while the helicopter landed.

All lanes of traffic have been reopened and the incident is still under investigation.
