NAPOLEON, KY (FOX19) - Police are investigating a fire and the discovery of a meth lab in Gallatin County.
Kentucky State Police troopers received information on Friday, Sept. 17 about a meth lab in a mobile home in the 2000 block of Hwy. 16. As troopers arrived, the found the residence in flames.
The fire department was able to extinguish the flames in minutes. Troopers then located an active 'one step' meth lab and three grams of finished product inside a bedroom within the residence. Investigators determined that the fire was not a result of the meth lab.
A KSP unit specializing in the removal and disposal of the meth lab hazardous materials responded for clean-up.
No arrests have been made at this time. The fire remains under investigation.
