CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Louisiana man is behind bars in Hamilton County after police say he held a woman against her will at a local motel.

Terimal Singleton, 37, was arrested Monday at the Travel Lodge on Dowlin Drive.

According to court records, Singleton restrained the woman with a knife and repeatedly beat and bit her. The woman suffered a leg injury where her skin had been bitten away, and also had bite marks and blood in both ears. She also had bruising around her neck, blood in her eyes from being choked and a broken hand.

Police say when she tried to escape, she was assaulted again in the hotel lobby, where Singleton also assaulted an employee at the hotel. Singleton then slammed the woman against a wall and fled.

Police caught up with him and charged him with felonious assault, assault and kidnapping. He is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
