NKY: Cooper Makes Debut

It is a historical week in the QueenCityHigh.com / FOX19 Rankings as one team made its first-ever appearance in the poll released on Tuesday.

Cooper (2-2) squeaked in at No. 10, marking the first time in the three-year history of the program that they have been included in the rankings.

Highlands (5-0), on the other hand, continues to lock down the top spot for the 37th consecutive time. Meanwhile Ryle (3-1) and Simon Kenton (3-1) remain at No. 2 and No. 3.

There was no movement in the next three spots as Holmes (4-0), NewCath (5-1), and Dixie Heights (2-3) remain locked in fourth through sixth.

CovCath (3-2) leapfrogged Boone County (3-2) after back-to-back blowout losses suffered by the Rebels. Beechwood (1-3) hangs in at No. 9 after a strong effort last week versus CovCath.
