LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - A man convicted of several robberies in the past year has been handed a hefty sentence in Warren County.
Maurice Jefferson, 24, was convicted Tuesday for his role in the aggravated robbery of a BP station in Mason. He was given a total of 30 years in prison for aggravated robbery, two counts of kidnapping including a gun specification.
Jefferson and an unidentified accomplice robbed the gas station in the early morning hours of July 6. The two men pointed handguns at the clerks and ordered them to empty the register and hand over cash and cigarettes.
Jefferson is currently serving 36 years in prison as a result of similar crimes committed in Hamilton and Butler counties. In the last year, Jefferson has now been convicted on six counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of robbery and two counts of kidnapping. He will be in prison until at least 2051.
"This is a dangerous man who we have taken off the street for a long time," Chief Assistant Prosecutor Bruce McGary said.
