Man found guilty in caffeine defense murder trial

NEWPORT, Ky (FOX19) - A northern Kentucky man who said that too much caffeine caused him to kill his wife was found guilty of murdering his wife, Friday.

Woody Will Smith said Thursday in court that he was sleep deprived from drink caffeine and he had no memory of the day.

His wife, Amanda Hornsby-Smith, was strangled to death in September 2009.

Smith will be formally sentenced October 20th in the Campbell County circuit court.
