The North College Hill Trojans picked up their 15th win in their last 16 games by beating the CHCA Eagles 28-17 on the road in a FOX19 Friday Prep Rally match-up.
The game had major implications in the Miami Valley Conference, which North College Hill (5-0) won last season. The Trojans would enter the contest as a decided favorite, but the Eagles would have something to say about that right out of the gate.
CHCA (3-2) drove the length of the field on their opening drive, but would have to settle for a 23-yard field goal by senior Andrew Amend.
The lead wouldn't last long as Dakota Dartis would quickly lead the Trojans on scoring drive that ended with the three-year starter finding classmate Vincent Edwards on a 25-yard passing touchdown to five NCH a 7-3 lead.

The second quarter was full of fireworks with the teams combining for four trips to the end zone. The first came from CHCA as senior quarterback Nick Lawley ran for a score from a yard out as the lead changed hands once again.
Dartis and the Trojans would answer quickly with a 1-yard rushing touchdown of his own three minutes later.
CHCA appeared to take control of the game after a turnover led to their second touchdown of the quarter, an 11-yard TD reception by Blake Avery.
The momentum would be short-lived as NCH once again found the end zone in the waning moments of the half as Dartis connected for a second scoring strike with Edwards from 43 yards out with just 43 seconds left in the quarter. North College Hill took a 21-17 lead into the locker room.
The defenses would both buckle down in the second half as both offenses struggled to put points on the board.
The Eagles were set to take a lead, but Lawley's fumble on 1st and goal from the 1-yard line proved to be critical.
The Trojans would drive the length of the field in the game's decisive drive that resulted with Dartis' second rushing touchdown, this time from five yards out, to put NCH up 28-17 midway through the fourth quarter. It would prove to be the final points of the game as North College Hill walked away victorious.
Dartis completed 10-of-15 passes for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns and added another 49 yards and two more scores on the ground. Edwards caught five balls for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
North College Hill continues MVC play next week with a trip to Cincinnati Country Day. CHCA is set for a showdown with Summit Country Day.
