COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - A Covington man has pled guilty to hitting and killing a man outside a Kenton County bar.

Matthew Kaylor, 25, pled guilty Monday to second degree manslaughter for the death of Patrick McGrath, 27.

Investigators say Kaylor sucker-punched McGrath outside of Dickmann's Sports Bar in Fort Wright in March. McGrath was taken to the hospital, where he died.

As part of a plea agreement, Kaylor will spend nine years behind bars. He will be formally sentenced on Oct. 25.
