BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - A Bethel mother pleaded guilty Tuesday to her involvement in the death of her 2-year-old son.
Krystle Hoskins, 24, admitted to charges of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence for the June death of Jerry Wells.
Hoskins originally told police the child fell down the stairs, but further investigation revealed that to be untrue. An autopsy revealed that Wells had suffered injuries prior to his death.
Wells' stepfather, Timothy Hoskins, was arrested a day after Wells' death because he was caring for Wells when he was taken to the hospital. He pled guilty last week to murder and tampering with evidence.
Sentencing for Krystle Hoskins is scheduled for Oct. 29.
