Two taken to hospital after Brown County crash

PIKE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an accident on State Route 774 that sent two people to the hospital.

The accident occurred when a 16-year-old driver on Oakland Locust Ridge Road failed to yield the right-of-way to another driver who was traveling on OH-774. The 16-year-old driver was trying to turn left from Oakland Locust Ridge Road onto OH-774 when she was struck by a 1993 Chevrolet Corsica.

The driver of the Chevy, 39-year-old Everett W. Page, had to be transported to University Hospital by AirCare with life-threatening injuries. Her passenger, 18-year-old Karissa K. Partin, was taken to Mount Orab-Mercy Medical Center.

The 16-year-old driver did not have to be taken to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
