BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) - An uncle of 23-year-old Scott Morrison talked to the media Tuesday about the last 72-hours for the family.
Scott's body is back in the United States and the family is still waiting to learn more details of the soldiers death.
"The family was in Dover, Del. Monday night and early Tuesday morning to witness the dignified transfer of Scott to American Soil," said Tony Waldbillig, family spokesperson and Scott's uncle.
Waldbillig said Scott was killed in action on Saturday night. The Army specialist had only 3 1/2 months left on his tour.
"He was just a genuine friend to anybody he met," said Waldbillig.
Scott's parents did fly back to Cincinnati Tuesday afternoon and are flying back to Dover soon to be with their son. Scott would have been 24 years old next month.
Scotty gave the ultimate sacrifice. And will be missed by many," said Waldbillig. "The family would like everyone to keep the military in their prayers and thoughts."
No funeral arrangements have been set.
