CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Joe Nuxhall is once again in the running for Baseball's Ford Frick Award. The award serves to honor excellence in baseball announcing. Previous winners include Marty Brennaman, Tony Kubek, Mel Allen, Red Barber, Vin Scully and Jack Buck.
The winner is represented in the Baseball Hall of Fame Museum in the "Scribes and Mikemen" exhibit. They will be honored at the induction ceremony in Cooperstown.
2010 Frick Award winner Joe Miller will join other past recipients and an appointed research team in selecting the 2011 honoree. Ten finalists will be voted on and the winner will be announced in December.
