PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) - For the second time in six months, a hundred officers hit the streets on Wednesday in Price Hill serving over 50 warrants for drugs and weapons.
Cincinnati Police had 56 arrest warrants and indictments they were serving Wednesday afternoon, as part of a massive arrest roundup in the West Side. As of 3:00 pm, 21 people have been arrested from that list, and 6 additional people have been arrested who were not part of the police's list.
In total, 27 people have been arrested in the roundup.
The round up focused on individuals with drugs and weapons charges in the area. The sweeps are the result of months of undercover buys, surveillance and cooperation with the Cincinnati Initiative to Reduce Violence.
This is the second arrest sweep in the area in the past 6 months. Police will continue to serve warrants and indictments for the rest of the day.
