CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) – Morgan's Canoe and Outdoor Centers will be hosting Morgan's 31st Annual Little Miami Triathlon – Fall Edition on Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event is being sponsored by Fifth Third Bank and Baker's Concrete.

The triathlon will be held at Morgan's Ft. Ancient Canoe Livery, located along the Little Miami River at 5701 State Route 350. The event benefits the Boy Scouts of America and the Cincinnati Association for the Blind.

Morgan's Little Miami Triathlon was first created 31 years ago with just 74 participants. It has grown to an event held twice a year with 1000+ competitors who hail from over 30 states. It is the largest triathlon of its' kind in the United States. The race is comprised of a 6 mile canoe ride down the Little Miami River, a 5.5 mile run and an 18 mile bike race, in that order.

There are several different divisions including a kayak division for single entrants and a walking division. Persons of all ages and levels of abilities compete…many with the goal to just be able to finish. Miss Ohio 2010 will compete this fall and represent Girls on the Run, a character development program for 3rd-8th grade girls.
