Middletown daycare receives threatening letter

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - For the second time this month, a local Kinder Care Daycare center has been the subject of a threatening letter.

The Kinder Care Daycare in Middletown received a threatening letter Thursday afternoon. Local and Federal Agencies are investigating the threatening letter.

The letter is similar to one received by a Dayton Kinder Care center Wednesday.

A Kinder Care center in Fairfield was sent a threatening letter September 11, saying that everyone there would die of a "9-11 style" attack.

"I am coming up to pick up the kids and I see the news cars and everything and I am like what is going on," said parent Jannsy Guevara. "I am worried but they reassured me in certain ways but the thought of it is still scary, I've got three kids."

KinderCare spokesperson Leslie Constans said after the recent threats against a Dayton location, the company has put extra safety precautions in place that will be in affect at the Middletown location indefinitely. Those precautions include a security guard on site at the center, suspending outdoor activities and KinderCare has updated the door codes.
