Lincoln Heights Police chief lacks correct certification

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19.COM) - Ohio Attorney General's Office confirms that the Lincoln Heights Police Chief Ron Twitty is not certified to be a police officer in the state of Ohio.

Twitty has not taken the state exam since he left the Cincinnati Police Department amid controversy in 2002.

Under Ohio law, Twitty still is allowed to wear a police uniform and openly carry a gun. Any citizen can do that though.

It is not known at this time what will happen to Twitty but we will keep you updated as new information comes in.
