LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) - The man known as the "Blue Eyed Rapist" pled guilty Tuesday to charges connecting him to an attempted rape in Dearborn County.
Prosecutors say David Hopper, 47, attacked and robbed an 18-year-old woman at gunpoint at a Payless Shoe Store in Aurora in January 2004. Hopper pled guilty to Criminal Deviate Conduct While Armed With a Deadly Weapon, Attempt to Commit Rape While Armed with A Deadly Weapon, Robbery While Armed with a Deadly Weapon and two other related felony charges.
Hopper has been convicted of crimes in various crimes in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky that happened throughout a 14 year period. He is currently in jail serving sentences for those crimes in Ohio and Kentucky.
Hopper will be sentenced for the crime he committed in Dearborn County November 9.
