Fans flock to Fountain Square for Reds game

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)---Hundreds of fans came to Fountain Square to cheer on the Reds Wednesday afternoon while they played their first playoff game against the Phillies.

The game was on the Jumbotron overlooking the square.

Fans brought their own chairs and blankets, covering the majority of the square with Reds gear.

One man told FOX19 he's originally from Philadelphia, but fell in love with the Reds.

"I know even this summer I was at one of the games and the Phillies were playing the Reds. I came to the game wearing a Phillies hat and by the end of the game I was rooting for the Reds because they were coming back and that was a game that went to extra innings," said Jody Hilsher.

"Were' going to see if we can make it, we'll see how the little guys do here," said Doug Spreen, watching the game with his kids.

While the watch party rooted for the home team, Fountain Square also hosted the "Fit and Fabulous" Happy Hour, a fitness event.
