TAYLOR MILL, KY (FOX19) - A former Scott High School soccer player has died after he collapsed at the school's athletic complex.
Kenton County School District officials say Cameron Batson, who graduated in 2010, collapsed Wednesday evening.
Batson's younger brother, a current Scott soccer player, was present at the time.
CPR was administered by staff and paramedics who responded to the scene. Batson was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, where he died.
Scott students are out of school Thursday and Friday, but the Kenton County District Crisis Team will be at the school if staff or students need to talk.
The boys soccer team is scheduled to play Ryle on Saturday.
