Man wanted for yard work scam

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - West Chester Police are looking for a suspect who scammed an elderly man out of over $11,000.

The victim told police he hired Christopher Gibbs, 23, to do work in his yard. According to the victim, he paid Gibbs a total of $11,037.95 through several payments for having bushes around his home trimmed.

Gibbs continued to collect checks from the victim after he received the initial payment for the work done, telling the victim he needed more money for the job.

Police say Gibbs is also wanted out of Montgomery County for similar incidences.  He is possibly working with a white male subject and driving a white pick-up truck with an open trailer.

Gibbs is described as a black male, 6'3" and 200 pounds with light skin.
