Airplane is forced to land in Brown County

GEORGETOWN, OH (FOX19) – Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a forced landing of a single engine air craft.  The forced landing occurred on October 6th, 2010 at approximately 6:00 P.M. which is just east of Oak Grove Road.

Damon E. Pendarvis, 43, was the pilot of the single engine Piper Cherokee Six. He experienced a loss of engine oil pressure and had to land before his original destination of the Brown County airport. The aircraft began to lose power and Pendarvis chose the most suitable location to land, it was an open field.

The plan had one passenger, Kimberly Pendarvis, 40. No one was injured and the aircraft did not sustain any damage.

The forced landing remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol - Georgetown Post.
