CORRYVILLE, OH (FOX19) - Saturday, Oct. 9 at 5 p.m., the Short Vine Business Association, with support from the University of Cincinnati Athletics and the Uptown Consortium, will be hosting a Tailgate Bearcat Block Party at the 2600 block of Short Vine in Corryville. The Block Party serves to raise support of the UC Bearcats as they battle rival Miami University.
With the construction of the UC practice fields underway, many UC football fans need a tailgate area to call home. On Oct. 9 and every home game afterward, the Short Vine Business Association and the Uptown Consortium are hosting the Bearcats Block Party.
The event includes tailgate staples like music (the band playing this week is Big Whiskey), food and drinks. Area lots surrounding Short Vine will be open for attendees to park their cars. Then, partygoers can take a short walk or hop on a convenient shuttle to the festivities.
For each UC home game, the 2600 block of Short Vine will shut down two hours before the game and two hours following, for a street festival featuring live entertainment, food and beverages, and a few surprises. All Short Vine favorites along the block will also be open for business. Additionally, the Block Party will broadcast the game so attendees won't miss a minute of the action.
