Police now enforcing Cincinnati's texting ban

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The "No Texting While Driving" law starts today in Cincinnati.

The fine for texting or accessing the Internet while driving can be up to $150.

Police will be looking for anyone driving slowly, swerving, looking down and not having their hands on the steering wheel, basically anyone who seems distracted.

The ban passed a month ago by City council. It is still okay to talk on the phone while driving, only if the vehicle is stopped or to enter information into a navigation system

It is going to be taken very seriously and police are on the lookout.
