Suspects in court after bar brawl involving motorcycle groups

UNION TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police say a fight that broke out over the weekend involved members of two rival motorcycle clubs.

The fight happened Saturday night around 11:30 p.m. at Frank and Jamie Tavern on Old State Route 74 in Union Township.

Lt. Scott Gaviglia with Union Township Police says two members of the Iron Horsemen motorcycle club were shooting pool at the bar without their colors on. Members of the Highwaymen motorcycle club received word that the men were there, and the fight ensued.

Union Township police department got a vehicle description and pulled a car over a short time after the fight.

So far, nine people have been arrested and charged with felonious assault.

Those nine people were in court Monday morning and each had their bond set at $100,000.

Those arrested include:

  • Joseph Earls, 47, of Cincinnati
  • William Ferguson, 29, of Cincinnati
  • Ryan Flowers, 22, of Cincinnati
  • Keith Gardner, 38, of Taylor Mill
  • Rickey Hiter, 32, of Florence
  • Joshua Overbeck, 22, of Hamilton
  • Geoffrey Poynter, 43, of Cincinnati
  • Kelvin Ryan, 46, of Mt. Orab
  • Joseph Senecal, 21, of Sharonville

Several other people involved were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.

The Iron Horsemen have been in the news recently after they were involved in a shootout last month with Cincinnati Police at JD's Honky Tonk. A member of the Horsemen, Harry Seavey, was killed after he fired shots at police. Police say Seavey was guarding the door, looking for members of the Highwaymen.
