ANDERSON TOWNSHIP (FOX19) - Police say no foul play is suspected after maintenance worker found a mother and her daughter dead in a town home in the 900 block of Meadowland Drive on Tuesday.

"I was shocked because it was really upsetting," said Cindy Welling, a neighbor.

Welling said she knew very little about her next door neighbors, but says the 81-year-old mother had many physical problems and that her 53-year-old daughter had mental issues.

"The mother has been falling and I have been called over there to help pick her up several times," said Welling. "I've heard all the neighbors have been called over to help her because she is very sick."

Other neighbors say the conditions inside the home were very unsanitary with animal feces and trash everywhere. Neighbors say the daughter could not take care of her mother and that the two were very close.

"When I realized the situation over there wasn't good I probably should have called someone to report it," said Welling.

Detectives with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office are investigating the deaths. Detectives have given very little information and have not released the names of the women because the next of kin has not yet been notified.

The Hamilton County Coroner's Office will determine a cause of death.
