WAYNESVILLE, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio State Fire Marshal has ruled the big fire at the Der Dutchman restaurant as accidental.
The fire broke out Wednesday morning at the popular spot in Waynesville.
The Fire Marshal's fire office says the fire originated at or near a cooking appliance in the kitchen. The fire spread through the roof.
All workers and patrons who were at the restaurant at the time were able to escape, and no one was injured.
Damage is estimated at about $1.5 million.
Fire Marshal investigators have turned the scene back over to the restaurant's ownership and their insurance company.
