It was a defensive struggle, but Roger Bacon (6-2, 3-2) got a much needed win over Badin (4-4, 2-3). The Spartans held the Rams to -4 yards rushing and that would end up being the difference in the contest.

The lack of being able to convert on third and fourth down for Badin (3-15) was due to the Spartans' defense putting them in tough holes early in possessions.

Two third-quarter touchdown passes from Tanner Sprong to Will Farrell gave Roger Bacon an 18-0 lead and the Spartans defense did the rest. Sprong threw for 186 yards and a touchdown. Farrell had five catches for 53 yards his second multi-touchdown game in the last five weeks.

Roger Bacon heads north to face off against Alter (7-1, 5-0) at Centerville next Friday. Badin pulls another tough draw at Bishop Fenwick (7-1, 4-1).
