CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - An arrest warrant has been issued for a key witness in the case involving the murder of a local grandmother.
The witness was scheduled to testify Monday in a juvenile court hearing for a 17-year-old boy who is accused of killing Christine Withrow, 42, last month. However, the witness failed to appear and prosecutors asked for a continuance. The witness' location is unknown.
Withrow was shot and killed in September while she was sitting outside her East Price Hill home. Investigators say the teen was firing at someone else when Withrow was hit. Witnesses say she was protecting her 2-year-old granddaughter.
Monday's hearing was the next step in getting the teen tried as an adult. FOX19's policy is to not release the names of juveniles unless they are being tried as adults.
