The GCL South has fallen on hard times of late and that was once again evident in the latest edition of the QueenCityHigh.com / FOX19 Ohio Division I Rankings released on Monday.
While LaSalle moved up to the No. 3 spot as they continue their magical season, the rest of the conference's perennial powerhouses are experiencing down years.
Moeller fell to fifth in the poll following their loss to LaSalle. St. Xavier dropped to 4-4 on the season and sits and sixth. Elder has disappeared from the rankings altogether.
Greater Miami Conference counterparts, Colerain and Middletown, maintain the top two spots.
Springfield cracked the top five for the first time the season coming in at No. 4. Other Dayton teams making their mark in the rankings include Centerville (7th), Northmont (9th) and Wayne (10th).
Anderson is the one Fort Ancient Valley team represented in the poll, sitting at No. 8.
