ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) - United Dairy Farmers has announced the expansion of its public refrigerated warehouse in Erlanger.
The 114,000 square foot warehouse, which was built three years ago, is adding another 100,000 square feet.
This second phase of construction will add approximately 28,000 pallet positions to the facility. The addition is in response to customer demand for public warehouse space and will provide both refrigerated and frozen storage. The company currently employs 2,113 people and will add 40 jobs as a result of the expansion.
As part of Cold Chain Integrity's Phase II construction, a separate, highly specialized, ultra-low temperature room with redundant power and refrigeration is being built for a long-term, pharmaceutical industry tenant.
The project is being constructed by the Tippmann Group out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana who also built phase one of the facility.
