NKY: Beechwood Back

The latest QueenCityHigh.com / FOX19 Northern Kentucky Rankings were released on Tuesday and there were two new additions.

Beechwood has dominated Class 1A action and moved to 5-3 on the season. The recent surge has the Tigers back in the rankings at No. 9.

Despite sitting at 3-5, Holy Cross has cracked the rankings for the first time this season. The Indians' win over Conner earlier in the season is a big reason why they've replaced the Cougars this week.

Highlands survived a late rally by CovCath to maintain its top spot. Despite the defeat, the strong outing left the Colonels at No. 6.

Ryle and Simon Kenton both continued their winning ways by picking up big district wins, maintaining the second and third spot. NewCath and Dixie Heights remained at No. 4 and No. 5 after taking off last week.

Campbell County clinched a playoff berth and is locked in at eighth on the list.
